Former aviation minister, Femi Fani Kayode has reacted to the assault on ex deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu in Germany.
A video (which you can watch below) is currently in circulation of the Senator being manhandled by suspected members of the Indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB.
He was reportedly in Germany for new yam festival organized by the Igbos.
Reacting, Cheif Fani-Kayode expressed it was an eye opener to politicians in southern Nigeria, a clear indication that people of the south would no longer tolerate political leaders who don’t stand up to defend them.
“What happened to my friend and brother Sen. Ike Ekweremadu in Nuremberg, Germany at the hands of IPOB is an eye-opener and clear signal to every political leader in southern Nigeria! The people of the south are getting angry and you either stand up and defend them or stand aside!”he tweeted.

Disgruntled Igbo boys welcome former Senate Deputy President Ike Ekweremadu to Germany. The revolution might have been aborted in Nigeria, but the seed may have been planted on foreign soils where protest is free speech. pic.twitter.com/7uNJFg7j1Z
